Valley Social Boler

I’ve just come to the realization we’re almost a full year behind in our Boler postings. It’s been crazy busy and admittedly we’ve let them sort of fall to the wayside. Time for a quick one though – this example with a very, very interesting paint job – found in the small surrounded-by-mountains southeastern British Columbia community of Fernie in August 2015.

It belongs to the Valley Social Company, a firm that sells Coffee (“Good Coffee for Good People”) and Clothes. They initially used the Boler as a mobile food trailer and perhaps still do, but since they’ve recently moved into permanent digs in downtown, perhaps it’s only used as a mobile billboard of sorts. It’s hard to miss sitting alongside the highway.

The company’s Instagram account has many photos of the little trailer both in it’s current form and before they fixed it up. It used to be bright blue.

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. We make a fun game spotting them on our road trips adventures. We also include other similar trailers here, those from other manufacturers who are close in appearance or configuration to Bolers.
