As it sometimes happens we stumble across a random Boler Trailer parked in or around someone’s property when out for a stroll. There’s a fair number of them here in Calgary – dozens and dozens that we know of, and many more, no doubt, we’ve yet to be introduced to. Many in fact were made here (NE 16th Ave, a company called Neonex*), so the city’s a bit of a Boler hotspot and finding one is not all that odd an occurance. Here’s another “Calgary Boler” to add to the list.

Today’s discovery is a pretty run of the mill early 1970s example (we can tell as the Boler emblem is metal – later they used stickers), well hidden behind trees and a fence in the backyard of a house. Nice landscaping! Given how obscured it was, we’re pretty lucky to have noticed it. Do you see it? Way in back, in the centre, just part of it visible? Now that’s some expert Boler spotting!

We’re in the community of South Calgary on a warm summer weekend afternoon in August 2016, on our way to the Marda Loop Festival (Marda-Gras). Oh, it seems so long ago.

There’s LOTS more Bolers in the pipeline…

* This Boler is not a Neonex product. It’s too old to have been made there.

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. We make a fun game spotting them on road trips and adventures. We also include other similar trailers here, those from other manufacturers who are close in appearance or configuration to Bolers.
