Big Trees, Little Trillium
Some business finds us in the tiny community of Enchant Alberta, a dot on the map type place out there on the endless Alberta Plains, no where close to a major population base. Post lunch at the town’s only eatery, the most satisfyingly bowl of Wor Wonton Soup ever, we head out for our weekend base, the Crowsnest Pass a couple hours away. But wait, over there the town’s campground. Screech! Let’s check it out, for Bolers – you know there might be one there. So we drive around grounds – the place is pretty quiet – not many folks like small prairie town camping I guess.
No Bolers, sadly, and we looked hard, but over there, a most colourful Trillium. A consolation prize find, but we’ll take it. It’s a nice one too – love how the red pops. And look how tiny it looks what with those huge trees looming overhead. A pee-wee of trailer made to looked even smaller. But the road calls and we need to be on our way. Adventure awaits in the Pass. Love the place. Enjoyed our Enchant visit though.
Later this weekend…
Crowsnest Ridge.
Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. We make a fun game spotting them on road trips and adventures. We also include other similar trailers here, those from other manufacturers who are close in appearance or configuration to Bolers.
