Random…

Sometimes just going out for a walk will reward the dedicated and vigilant Boler Spotter with some new discoveries. Case in point here, two little trailers, one a thirteen foot Boler and the other a plain old Trillium seen while the Team, on foot, headed to a Calgary Street Festival (Marda-Gras in Marda Loop), not far from BIGDoer World Headquarters. Just random finds. So not only was there fun in the cards, but so were little fibreglass trailers, making for a darn near prefect day. It’s satisfying when it all comes together like this. The date is August 2018.

Boler and Trillium Colours: While many Bolers, from the factory, were done up in one solid colour, a plain white usually, but sometimes a tan, many are two toned as is the case here. Colours commonly seen, always applied to the lower half with white on top, include a deep blue, a grey, a yellow, and as seen on this example, a red. There’s others too. Older Trilliums as this one photographed is, are almost always found in a single colour, often a (very retro) shade of puke green or a light tan, such as this one.

That same weekend…
Eight Houses – a study of dwellings in Calgary’s downtown core.

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. We make a fun game spotting them on road trips and adventures. We also include other similar trailers here, those from other manufacturers who are close in appearance or configuration to Bolers.
