Highway Boler

Capturing a Boler (Trillium, et al) on the move whilst driving is perhaps the most difficult challenge for those out hunting little fibreglass trailers. They’ll often come upon you quickly, almost always on the opposing lane, and rarely is the camera at the ready. So with that, capturing a “Highway Boler” is made all the more special, as all the pieces have to fall together for it to work. Here, on the drive back from a most unusual train journey (link below), it’s a Boler spotted somewhere south of Leduc on July 2018.

We forgot about this one or missed it for some reason, explaining why it took this long to post. It’s not a great shot, a bit out of focus on the trailer and poorly composed. But hey, it shows what needs to be shown and that’s what counts. That bold yellow, in particular, makes this trailer a real stand out. It’s so bright and loud! But we sort of have a bias to that shade – long story and no space for it here.

Here’s to Boler spotting and all the fun in brings. God, we’re so easily entertained.

Crazy Times in Coach, on Via’s Canadian – a (hopefully) funny account of a strange journey.

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. We make a fun game spotting them on road trips and adventures. We also include other similar trailers here, those from other manufacturers who are close in appearance or configuration to Bolers.
