C Plus
If we’re out somewhere and catch wind of a car show, we’ll make it a point to attend if we can. Who are we to resist the call of these vintage rides, all shiny and perfectly done up showroom new, with owners always willing to share a bit of history and chat it up. It’s relaxed carefree fun, a rare opportunity to take it easy and just enjoy what we like without having to get too serious. Here we can “let our hair down” – oh, wait that only works for one of us.
And once in a while, often enough it causes anticipation, we’ll come across a fine Boler trailer on display. A few folks on the car show circuit own one and some have painted them so they match their pride and joy. Retro wheels and Bolers for the win!
Here’s just such a team, a 1938 Chevrolet and 1970s era Boler wearing the same orange paint and looking simply amazing. This is “C Plus”. We’re in Drumheller Alberta, it’s June 2019 (we are catching up) and we’re in our happy place. Dare we ask, is this the best car/Boler combo ever? I think we have a winner!
We saw a lot of fine cars this day as we wandered about (hot dog in hand) and one of the most impressive was this 1953 Nash Ambassador. This firm made some some handsome cars that really stood out in design, but as a small player you don’t see many of them. Nash later joined with a rival to create American Motors.
Till the next Boler, enjoy…
That same week…
For Jim… – honouring a friend.
Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. We make a fun game spotting them on road trips and adventures. We also include other similar trailers here, those from other manufacturers who are close in appearance or configuration to Bolers.

Gorgeous pair!
One of the nicest we’ve seen!
That Boler suits the Chevy quite well.
A real head turning combo!
If you like car shows, keep Aug 23rd open for the Chestermere Show and Shine. They had over 400 entries last year.
Wow, that’s a lot! We went to an Okotoks car show that must have had a couple hundred minimally, but this sounds even bigger.
