Prairie Trillium
It seems the further we get from the mountains the less we get to play the Boler Spotting Game. By the time we go as far east as Medicine Hat, seeing a little fibreglass trailer of any make is rare and so an event. That’s our experience anyway and with that said, it’s makes this Prairie Trillium, usually a common find, something a little more special than it would otherwise be.
The location of this one was oddly not recorded, but we think it was seen somewhere around the Saskatchewan/Alberta border. So somewhere flat and where grain is grown! I know, we’re usually pretty good at documenting locations but not here. This one has colourful bottom and this it tells us it’s of fairly recent vintage. Trilliums have been made for decades but only recently did they offer bold shades such as this.
Present day these campers are made by Outback Trailers near Calgary and this one is from that firm (see: King of Bolertown.
This discovery was made in August 2019 and for some reason the photo was misplaced and only just found. We’re stumbling around here folks…
That same weekend…
Twilite Drive-in Wolseley – Popcorn and hot dogs!
Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass camping trailer made in Canada in the 1960s to 1980s. We make a fun game spotting them on road trips and adventures. We’ll also include other similar trailers, those from other manufacturers that are close in appearance or configuration to Bolers.

That Saskatchewan trip was a blast!
It was and I long for those carefree days of just a few years ago.
