Boler!
That heat’s insufferable and smoke from forest fires happening somewhere else on the continent hangs heavy the air. It’s hot and stuffy. Just ;ook up to that ugly brown sky and feel the oppression as it sucks the life out of you. We’re in Castlegar BC, it’s the summer of 2021 and we’re finding it hard to function given the conditions.
It’s too hot to hike and you can’t breathe anyway, so we cruise around looking for adventure. BTW, our car lacks AC (it’s true), so that turns out be a bad idea too. So it’s back to the motel, that glorious cool motel, for a little reading and maybe a movie. It’s not the ideal way to spend our limited time in the area, but given the alternatives, about the best we can do.
On the way back to our budget-friendly room (code word for cheap-*** dive accommodations), something is spotted down there at a tire shop. Boler! It’s a nice one and brings a little life back into our tired, old, beaten, depressed selves. Glad we took this route, but it’s still a hell-ish day otherwise.
From the same card dump…Downtown Trout Lake British Columbia, Nakusp Rail Society and Craigellachie Kid.
Boler: A small, cute-as-a-bug fibreglass camping trailer made in Canada in the 1960s to 1980s period and we make a fun game spotting them on road trips or adventures. We’ll also include similar trailers from other manufacturers that are close in appearance, construction or configuration to Bolers.
