Calgary Boler

Seems we haven’t been feeding our Boler obsession as we should. Sure, we’re still out there capturing photos of them, but we’ve been super lax in posting. For example the image used in this article…it’s from late 2015! Well, we have been crazy-crazy busy and these seem to fall by the wayside. Perhaps this needs to change…time to step up the pace.

Seen here, a rather ordinary Boler…my God, did I just say that? They’re all special. It was found in some Calgary neighbourhood two Decembers back. Wow…it just hit me, we really are running late.

Since many people see these tiny campers as “toy” like, especially when compared to the behemoth, bigger is better style of RVs seen a lot today, we thought shooting one with a toy camera filter was in order. What’s that? It’s a photo setting with a very narrow plane of focus giving a dream-like effect, with generally saturated colours. Like what you see here. Your rig probably has the ability, most do, but perhaps it’s hidden away deep in some obscure menu setting. Try it. It’s fun.

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. We make a fun game spotting them on our road trips adventures. We also include other similar trailers here, those from other manufacturers who are close in appearance or configuration to Bolers.
