It’s a Surfside

We walk. A lot. Our neighbourhood’s a good-sized one, and sometimes we just step out, point ourselves in some random direction and start exploring (it makes the day better). Even after all these years, there’s still a fair number of streets we’ve never been down. And what happens when you roam residential neighbourhoods in good ol’ Calgary? Simple, there’s a pretty good chance one will stumble across a Boler or a Boler-like Trailer, parked in someone’s driveway, back yard or back there in the alley. Them’s the places they congregate.

Seen here, way back in August 2016, a little Triple-E Surfside spotted in the Community of Killarney. These were made in Manitoba in the 1970s and are fairly uncommon (we’ve seen a handful). They’re easily confused with a Trillium, the most popular of the small fibreglass trailers, which it looks very much like. This one’s had a bit of a lift and those more aggressive than usual tires suggest it’s no stranger to dusty rutted backroads. Happy camping!

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. We make a fun game spotting them on road trips and adventures. We also include other similar trailers here, those from other manufacturers who are close in appearance or configuration to Bolers.
