SW Calgary Boler

One of the Team (unnamed) seems to have been blessed with a photographic memory when it comes to locations, but for the life of them, there was no recalling where this Boler was spotted. That was until late one night months later and completely out of the blue…CLICK! Funny how your mind works that way. This find was completely by chance (the best kind) and happened in the Calgary neighbourhood of Killarney. An address was overshot and on looping back, there it was. Was this memory impairment a foreshadowing of things to come or just a hiccup? That the person writing this (one in the same and still unnamed) searched around BIGDoer HQ for half an hour recently looking for some tape when it was in their hands all along suggests the former.

The Boler company offered a variety of two-tone paint schemes (gel-coat schemes?) over the years, usually white on top. Some combos are timeless where as others look rather dated present day. Blue is one of the nicer pairings and if kept clean and shiny still holds its own. Others in comparison (cough, cough, grey), doesn’t seem to age as well (IMHO). And now we’re in trouble with half the Boler owners out there. Kidding, they’re all beautiful to us. Doors were typically white on two-tone Bolers and since they extended down into the second colour might look a bit odd to some. This find was in September 2019. You know, back in the good ol’ days.

From around that time…
Little Green Mart – A charming little corner store.

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass travel trailer made in Canada in the 1970s and 80s. We make a fun game spotting them on road trips and adventures. We also include other similar trailers here, those from other manufacturers who are close in appearance or configuration to Bolers.
