Another Random Boler

We came for the brutalish architecture and as it happens (fairly often too) our explorations lead to another random Boler discovery. We love when that happens! So there we were, coming back from photographing a really funky school (it looks like a military bunker – link further down), and on exiting the property, something special comes into view. Add another one to the list!

Parked in a driveway, it’s a 17 foot model, tan with beltline stripe of brown, the most common paint scheme for this size model. It’s so 1970s! The Location: Calgary’s Northeast. Date: May of 2020 (yeah, we’re perpetually behind in posting). Reason: it’s one cool building and I question why it took us so long to pay it a visit. Bonus: this here little camper.

Mayland Heights School – It’s brutal(ist).

Boler: A small cute-as-a-bug fibreglass camping trailer made in Canada in the 1960s to 1980s and we make a fun game spotting them on road trips or adventures. We’ll also include similar trailers from other manufacturers that are close in appearance or configuration to Bolers.
